For Immediate Release:

In recognition of National Crime Victims Rights Week, Mary Kilgus spoke at the Lycoming County Democratic Committee meeting on April 21. She stressed the need in our county for Victim Witness Coordinators who have the appropriate education, training and background to be effective advocates in that grant-funded position. Ms. Kilgus served from 2006 to 2011 as Lycoming County Assistant D.A., and in 2011 was nominated by Wise Options of the Williamsport YWCA as a “Woman of Excellence” for her work with child sexual abuse victims and rape victims. Now in private practice, she is seeking the Democratic nomination for Lycoming County District Attorney in the May 19 Primary Election.
